Release of World Girls' Snow Hockey Weekend in Attach Pearl



Girls across North america and the world are hitting the ice for World Girls’ Ice Hockey Weekend.

Now in its 3rd season, the International Snow Hockey Federation developed the particular weekend to help grow the particular women’s game at all amounts, and in all participating countries.

It’s a chance for females to try out hockey like a new sport — or to celebrate their game.

The national festivities began on Newfoundland’s east coast in Mount Gem on Saturday with an Atom girls hockey game, and ended later in the day in Vancouver, B. C.

New players had been introduced to basic skills, and were able to locate hockey groups within their own communities.

Bonnie Evans could be the female hockey chair of Hockey NL.

“More and more people are realizing hockey isn’t just for children anymore, ” said Evans.

This weekend also gave the girls a chance to meet new friends and include their names to a growing list of fans of the sport.
